Upon receipt of your completed application, our Volunteer Department will contact you to schedule an informal interview. At that point we will discuss your interests, talents and availability, as well as what opportunities are available at the time. Job-specific training will be provided on-site.

    Events Manager

     

    You will be part of the Marketing department.

     

    Tasks:

    • Plan, organize, coordinate and promote the WICE Open House and/or Spring Launch which

    take place in Spring and Fall

    • Promote WICE at local events in September in the current year to October the following

    year (4-7 events)

    • Input event information on the WICE website
    • Keep track of event attendance data and produce short reports for larger events
    • Assist with related event marketing tasks as needed

     

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience organizing or managing events
    • Excellent people skills
    • Professional attitude
    • Ability to stay focused, proactive and handle responsibility
    • Ability to delegate
    • Can adhere to deadlines
    • Computer literacy - ability to navigate a back office a plus
    • A strong desire to put your skills to use volunteering
    • French language skills a plus but not required

     

    Start/End Date of Position:

    Open House: Must be available full-time in September and at least on a part- time basis in late August and early October. Candidates wishing to continue volunteering after this time may do so.

    Spring Launch: Must be available on a part- time basis in January and February. Candidates wishing to continue volunteering after this time may do so.

    Do you play Pétanque ?

    We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic event planner to organize Petanque events from conception through to completion. Event coordinator responsibilities will include providing rules, playing area and organizing regular memorable fun events that everyone enjoys. An ideal opportunity to bring together members and friends in a friendly competitive spirit that is as French as French gets.   

    Guided Discussion Group Facilitator 

    We are seeking discussion group facilitators in, both English and French!

    It is a great opportunity to bring together a group of people and discuss a topic of the day whilst helping WICE members to develop and improve  their language skills in a friendly and supportive environment.


    Technical Trainers


    Would you like to develop your training skills by delivering both individual and group training to new volunteers?  Do you have database and /or website experience?


    We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with new systems and in delivering training on the use of our system, according to the requirements of new volunteers.  Training sessions are generally delivered at the WICE offices at a mutually convenient time. There would also be a requirement to update and write processes for use by volunteers both during and after training sessions. You would work as part of the Volunteer team and a full handover would be provided.




    Digital Content Creator


    The Content Creator is responsible in helping drive the creative strategy of WICE. You should be passionate about creativity and communicating the organization with a clean, clear, and fun approach.


    With direction from the Marketing Manager and in collaboration with a team, you will help to execute the strategic vision of the organisation.


    The designer will develop and produce both print and web materials that promote our goals. This includes but is not limited to: web pages, print and online ads, web banners, email blasts, brochures, and newsletters.


    PLEASE NOTE:

    • WICE membership is required for all volunteer roles.
    • Please apply only if you are living in Paris.
    • A commit of six months in required for each position. Ideally, the candidate can commit one year. 
    • Time commitment required for each position varies. On average, 5-8 hours each week are required with some availability necessary during business hours.
    • Some work may be completed remotely, but time on-site will also be required.
    • The WICE office is closed during July and August.
